The black sand, Titian Moon, really brings out the color of your fish. It has the added advantage of hiding algae. This is the sand that I recommend if you want a planted tank. Plant tanks require high light levels. High light levels cause algae to grow on the sand. Black will hide the algae. Crystal River is white, but it is a coarse sand.

Dec 05, 2012· yanke they only do natural sand colours and the smallest black they have is 1mm black gravel that i know of. yeh i would be careful of that sand blasting stuff. im pretty sure that black diamond stuff is quite course. the only black sand i could find when i was looking was Titian Moon sand.
